A private investment fund from the Sudbury, MA area approached the zen kitchen to create their annual report. The fund, which donates 50% of their commissions to charitable causes, needed a report that emphasized both the ways that their organization supported social change around the world and the impressive growth their portfolio had achieved during the fiscal year.

Sojourner House, a domestic violence agency in Providence, RI, needed an annual report to give its corporate donors and market the organization. The report needed to share a vast amount of information about the organization’s efforts, donors and financials in a way that was clean, accessible, and cost-effective to print.

Using 1-color to stunning effect along with photography from our own collection for the front cover, the zen kitchen created a report that accomplished all of these goals. The bottom margin includes a timeline of the year’s achievements.

Every year, DiMella Shaffer creates its Architect’s Perspective: Insights into College and University Housing report for the Society of College and University Planners conference. This report highlights trends in the industry, as well as providing a way for the firm to demonstrate its extensive expertise in designing college and university housing. The challenge? Pushing a huge amount of data into a concise and readable format.

Enter the zen kitchen. Working with design director Rod Tilley, we created a piece that was bold, distinctive, and made it easy to digest the mass of information provided. The result? A highly successful report, and a very happy client.
