Verdant Computing site done by the zen kitchen, Watertown MA

Verdant Computing, an e-commerce operation out of Brooklyn NY, offers a wide selection of the eco-friendliest computer products and accessories that owner Carl Foner can find. The identity and website needed to reflect the technological nature of the products sold, but also provide a friendlier experience than the average computer site.

The site created by the zen kitchen featured a robust content-management system which not only allowed Carl to control inventory and post product descriptions, create product categories/subcategories and more, it also allowed Carl to post articles about green computing and qualify products against six separate green criteria. The product descriptions show the specific criteria that a specific product meets, and gives users an easy visual reference to make their purchasing decisions against. See the site in action here.

Kitchen on Common website done by the zen kitchen, Watertown MA

Kitchen on Common provides Belmont, MA’s Cushing Square residents with a unique experience: fresh, simple, gorgeous food, with an obsessive focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Given a constantly changing menu dependent on season and relationships with local farmers, the restaurant needed a website which allowed founder Joh Kokubo to update the menu whenever it changed. It also, however, needed to be visually appealing to local residents who were curious about the food.

The answer? A highly visual site with links to downloadable PDFs of the lunch and dinner menus. Customers can download them off the website and see what’s available, and Joh can update the menu every time it changes as easily as dragging a file into a folder. See the site in action at kitchenoncommon.com.
