NAMS, Inc. Website Refresh

The Rundown
Client:
NAMS, Incorporated
What they do:
Grant Management Services for Native American Tribes and Families
Project Description:

Native American Management Services, Inc. (NAMS) provides Tribal families and communities with a whole range of services to help them work with goverment agencies that give them grants. From event management to training and technical assistance to grant reporting, the federal government trusts NAMS as an expert at working with tribal families in a way that's both competent and culturally sensitive. They needed a website that was clean, professional, and told the story of how they help these families in a way that made sense to the government agencies that ultimately hired them.

What We Did:

The NAMS redesign had to accomplish two things: First, it needed a heirarchy and communication style that was immediate and direct, and easy to understand for government agencies, who are responsible for hiring NAMS to work with the tribal communities. Second, and most importantly, it also had to instill trust in the tribal communities that NAMS ultimately works with, and show the owners' (both of the Choctaw tribe) commitment to the Native American Community.

the zen kitchen worked closely with NAMS's web team to produce a simple but stunning look and feel for the website, currently in production. The new website captures NAMS's rich expertise and balances it with a solid understanding of Native culture, and the stories of the communities that they service. A full site map in the footer of each page adds visual interest to the piece, and helps with section 508 compliance, a mandatory consideration for Federal contractors.
