what is green design?

Green design means a commitment to more environmentally responsible production methods. We believe that beautiful and effective design doesn’t have to create a pile of excess waste. We seek out eco-friendly papers and work with printers who use vegetable-based ink, lessening the dependence on petroleum, which is the base for many traditional offset-printing inks.

Green design also means looking for ways to use less paper overall. You won’t find us designing invitations with eight pieces (four of them completely unnecessary), just because we think it looks cool. You will find us asking the question, “Does this need to be a printed piece? Can we put it online instead?”

Our commitment doesn’t end there. From the intensive recycling effort that goes on in our office to the natural cleaning supplies we use to dust the counters and wash the dishes from lunch, we practice what we preach.
